AKM Electronics is the
designer and manufacturer of GM ALDL Cables, connectors & accessories
related to the diagnostics, monitoring and tuning of many General
Motors OBD1 computer systems.
AKM cables connect to many different GM ECMs/PCMs, typically
ranging from 1986 to 1995. They do not connect to Dodges, Fords, or
most other manufacturers. An exception to this is manufacturers who
used GM computer control system components, such as Lotus - we do
connect to some Lotus automobiles. Software can be found at page
